BYTumulak, Sr. Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization based in New Jersey. This organization was organized exclusively for charitable, religious and educational purposes including for such purposes, the making of contributions to the organizations that qualify as exempt organization under the section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code or any corresponding action of any future Federal tax code. The business activity for said organization is as follows; Empowering Women and Children thru education and nutrition. Supporting other organizations with same vision. Create an awareness on how to fight malnutrition in schoolchildren.
This charitable public organization was founded by May Tumulak Durano on July 16, 2013 in honor of her father’s (Bienvenido Ybanez Tumulak) legacy.
BIENVENIDO YBAÑEZ TUMULAK SR.
In one of the coastal towns in the province of Cebu, Samboan, resides the family of the couple, Epifania Alfafara Ybañez and Jose Tapia Tumulak. Epifania was a public school teacher and Jose was a municipal treasurer until they retired when both reached the age of 65.
The couple had eight children, four girls and four boys. The second child was Bienvenido, Sr. He was born on February 22, 1925 in Pilar, Cebu. He finished his elementary years in Samboan and his secondary years in Cebu City. His first three years in college was in Silliman University; he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the Cebu Institute of Technology.
His first job as a civil engineer was in Mindanao, particularly, Cotabato. As a member of the PHILCUSA team, he was transferred to Agusan. As materials engineer, he was one of the engineers to open and construct the Davao-Agusan Road.
After several years, he met Remedios Serrano Raagas, a public school teacher assigned at the Hinatuan Central School in Surigao del Sur. They settled permanently in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur where they raised their family of four girls and four boys. In 1970, he was elected mayor of San Francisco. A few years after his term, he returned to the Department of Public Works and Highways where he was previously employed.
He became a sportsman during these years. In fact, he was awarded twice as the Founding Father of Tennis in San Francisco. While still working with the DPWH, he met his untimely death in a vehicular accident in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. He was 63 years old.

Our first medical and humanitarian mission was done in Dulag, Leyte Philippines for the Haiyan/Yolanda Superstorm victims on June 4, 2014.

On Dec. 1st 2015, Gwen Ranario Feuerstein conducted a Humanitarian Mission to New Calamba Elementary School, Zamboanga del Norte.
Our next project is a Dental and Humanitarian Mission to Brgy. Karaos, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, Philippines on February 20, 2017. This will be coordinated with the Dept. of Education. The beneficiaries are the schoolchildren of Karaos Elementary School.
